the most important things are
specs,
keychain,
wallet,
inhaler,
pocketknife,
cell phone,
baseball cap,
and the
woman
to keep on
emptying those pockets
onto the side table
for,
with the lamp
just sputtering
out a dull
glow,
a couple bottles,
and a couple more smokes
later,
after a long
day, after a somewhat meaningless
life,
just
being.
